Spring's Crown

nature's jewelry
cloaked in eider-down
and tawny grass
rests here.

the pigment of bright sky
and luster of milky pearl
coyly
couch here.

all the glass promises
ever made
pale and craze
against these azure beads.

no brooch
nor bangle
speaks life to wind and rain
as these
blue
blue
beating stones.

It was close...I almost didn't make it out of Tennessee.

But now I'm a little bit closer to making it to YOUR nest.

Friend #10 will be coming soon to a home near yours (okay, well, yours).
